Are you an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler who feels ready for a more challenging and rewarding role?

Our client is a highly reputable, well-established insurance intermediary with a strong market presence and a long-standing heritage in the insurance sector. Operating as part of a larger group with significant national and international reach, the business combines the stability of an established organisation with the collaborative culture of a close-knit, high-performing team.

They are now seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to take ownership of a diverse commercial book. This is not a “standard” servicing role; the position offers exposure to more technical risks, varied sectors, and a greater level of responsibility across both existing business and new business broking activity.

The Role
Working closely with Account Executives and the wider broking team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality, advisory-led service to clients.
Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and servicing a varied and complex portfolio of commercial clients
• Handling mid to more technically complex commercial risks across a range of products
• Supporting Account Executives with renewals, MTAs, and new business broking
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
• Liaising with insurers to negotiate terms, cover, and premiums
• Ensuring compliance, accuracy, and best practice across all documentation and processes

About You
This role will suit an Account Handler who is technically confident and motivated to progress into a more challenging commercial environment.
You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in commercial insurance broking or account handling
• Exposure to a broad range of commercial products and risk types
• Strong knowledge of the UK insurance market and insurer appetite
• A desire to work with more complex cases rather than volume-driven policies
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• A professional, client-focused approach with strong attention to detail
• Ambition, tenacity, and a genuine interest in developing your technical capability
