School Caretaker / Minibus Driver

Hours: Monday – Wednesday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Uxbridge

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and practical School Caretaker / Minibus Driver to join a school in Uxbridge.

The role combines day-to-day caretaking and facilities duties with responsibility for safely transporting students. The successful candidate will need to be confident driving a school minibus and supporting with manual handling and general site-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport students as part of their daily school routine

• Drive the school minibus in line with relevant safety procedures

• Complete general caretaking and facilities-related duties

• Assist with manual handling and moving equipment where required

• Carry out basic maintenance and minor repairs

• Help maintain a safe, clean and well-presented school site

• Report faults, hazards and maintenance issues

• Support with opening, securing and general upkeep of the site

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Valid D1 driving licence

• Previous experience driving a minibus or similar vehicle

• Experience with general caretaking, facilities or maintenance duties

• Comfortable undertaking manual handling duties

• Reliable, responsible and safety-conscious approach

• Valid DBS check

• Right to Work in the UK

Desirable:

• Previous school or education setting experience

• Basic DIY and maintenance skills

• Manual handling training

• Experience transporting children or young people
