PSV Technician / HGV Mechanic

Salary: £53,000 per annum doe +Excellent Benefits

Location: Heathrow Area

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off 7 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 6 pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced PSV Technician or HGV Mechanic to join a professional fleet maintenance team responsible for keeping a large and diverse commercial vehicle fleet operating safely and efficiently.

Whether your background is in buses, coaches, HGVs or commercial vehicles, you'll be joining a well-equipped workshop where quality, teamwork and safety are at the heart of everything we do.

PSV Technician /HGV Mechanic -The Role

As a Technician, you will carry out planned maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs to ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards.

PSV Technician /HGV Mechanic Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Carry out MOT preparation and safety inspections.
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.
• Identify additional defects and parts required during repairs.
• Work closely with the workshop team to ensure maintenance schedules are achieved.
• Support and mentor apprentices where required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Ensure all work complies with DVSA standards and Health & Safety legislation.

PSV Technician / HGV Mechanic-What We're Looking For

We're looking for experienced technicians who take pride in delivering quality workmanship and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team.

Essential

• Previous experience as a PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic, HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician
• City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience carrying out servicing, repairs and inspections on heavy vehicles.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
