Multi Trade Operative - Property Services
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £24.73 per hour Umbrella
Permanent: £42,000 per annum

A Multi Trade Operative is required to work on a busy social housing repairs and maintenance contract in Harrow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced multi-skilled tradesperson looking for a temporary-to-permanent position.

The role will involve carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance works within occupied social housing properties. Candidates should be confident working across multiple trades and able to complete jobs independently from start to finish, delivering a high-quality service to residents.

Daily responsibilities:

• Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across occupied social housing properties
• Completing a range of multi-trade works, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and making good
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
• Managing jobs independently from start to finish
• Providing excellent customer service while working in residents' homes
• Accurately recording works completed
• Identifying and reporting any additional works or property issues
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently
• Participating in an out-of-hours emergency repair rota where required

Requirements of a Multi Trade Operative:

• Proven experience carrying out domestic repairs and maintenance across multiple trades
• Strong skills in at least two or more trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling or decorating
• Previous social housing or domestic maintenance experience is highly desirable
• Full UK manual driving licence
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload effectively
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working within occupied properties
• Own hand tools
• Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours emergency rota
