Job Description:

Are you an experienced HR Advisor or Employee Relations Specialist looking for a role where you can genuinely influence managers, shape people practices and make a difference across a growing organisation?
We’re working with a large, fast-paced international business that is looking for an experienced HR professional to join its UK HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being the trusted HR partner to managers and stakeholders and who thrives on dealing with complex employee relations matters.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you’ll become a key point of contact for employee relations and UK employment law, providing practical, commercially focused advice across the organisation.
You’ll take ownership of a varied and interesting caseload, covering everything from disciplinary and grievance matters through to performance, absence, organisational change and other complex people issues.
You’ll also play an important role in coaching managers, improving HR policies and processes, delivering training and identifying opportunities to enhance the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations and UK employment law
• Manage ER cases from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, absence, flexible working and conduct matters
• Support managers through investigations, hearings, consultations and other sensitive processes
• Coach and develop managers to improve their confidence and capability in handling people matters
• Design and deliver manager training, guidance and toolkits
• Review and continuously improve HR policies, procedures and documentation
• Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation, case law and HR best practice
• Prepare high-quality HR documentation, including investigation reports, outcome letters and consultation materials
• Support DSARs, legal enquiries and employment-related matters
• Analyse ER trends and people data to identify risks and opportunities
• Support organisational change, including restructures, redundancies, TUPE and consultation processes
• Manage the leaver and exit interview process, identifying key themes and recommendations
• Work collaboratively with the wider HR team on employee engagement, wellbeing and people initiatives
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and ensure GDPR compliance
• Build strong relationships across the business and act as a trusted HR advisor

We’re looking for an experienced HR professional who is confident handling complex employee relations casework and can operate effectively in a busy, commercial environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
• Around 4–5+ years’ experience within an HR Advisory or Employee Relations-focused position
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations best practice
• Experience managing complex ER cases independently
• Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills
• The confidence to influence managers and stakeholders at all levels
• Experience delivering HR or management training
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of discretion
• Experience working with HR systems/HRIS – Workday or similar would be advantageous
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including the ability to analyse people data and produce reports
• A commercially minded, solutions-focused approach to HR
