Salary:  £20.00-£22.00 per hour

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated and enthusiastic Female Support Worker to join the client’s established care team and become a valued part of our supportive family environment. The role combines meaningful relationship-based support with complex clinical care, including tracheostomy management, PEG feeding, communication support and therapy programmes. Full specialist training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced support worker who wants to further develop their skills in complex paediatric care.

As part of a dedicated team, you will support her to participate fully in family life, education, therapy activities and community experiences whilst helping her develop communication, independence, confidence and mobility skills.

About the Role

You will provide high-quality, child-centred support and play an important role in helping the client achieve her goals, enjoy everyday experiences and participate fully in family, school and community life.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing day-to-day care and support, including tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, mobility assistance and continence care (full specialist training provided).
• Supporting communication using PECS, Makaton and electronic AAC devices.
• Encouraging play, learning, social engagement and participation in meaningful activities.
• Helping develop communication, mobility, cognitive and independence skills through personalised goals and activities.
• Supporting speech and language therapy programmes, including oral motor activities.
• Accompanying the client to school, appointments, activities and community outings.
• Working collaboratively with parents, therapists and other support workers to ensure consistent support.
• Contributing to a positive, nurturing and encouraging home environment.

Hours and Shifts

Term Time

• Monday to Thursday: 3:00pm to 9:00pm
• Friday: 1:00pm to 9:00pm

School Holidays and Weekends

• 12-hour shifts on a rota basis

Additional hours may be available. Shift times may occasionally vary to meet family requirements, and reasonable notice will always be provided.

About You

Essential Requirements

• Minimum two years' experience supporting children with complex, physical or additional needs within the UK.
• Caring, patient, reliable and highly professional.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Looking for a long-term role and able to provide continuity of care.
