Job Description:

Our client, an established technical business specialising in industrial drives, motors and related solutions, are looking for a Business Development Manager - Drives/Motors to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a remote South UK-based sales role focused on generating new business, developing existing accounts and increasing revenue and market share across the region.

Key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager - Drives/Motors job covering the South of the UK:

• Identify and develop new B2B customers through targeted outbound sales activity
• Promote drives, motors and associated products and services
• Develop existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for account growth
• Build and maintain accurate customer profiles and CRM activity
• Manage opportunities from initial contact through to successful business development
• Achieve agreed sales, revenue and gross profit targets
• Analyse market share, competitor activity and customer opportunities
• Work closely with marketing, purchasing, accounts, warehouse and branch teams
• Produce regular sales, activity and budget reports
• Identify opportunities to improve internal and external processes and profitability
• Support the development of the South UK sales strategy and future growth plans

Experience required for the Business Development Manager - Drives/Motors job covering the South of the UK:

• Proven B2B sales or business development experience
• Experience within sales, telesales or customer-facing technical environments
• Knowledge of drives, motors or related industrial/electrical products
• Strong ability to identify new business opportunities and develop existing accounts
• Commercially driven with experience working towards sales or margin targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation and customer relationship skills
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and confident working remotely and independently
• Ability to understand technical products and communicate their benefits to customers
