Branch Assistant (Customer Service & Operations)

Monday to Friday | Full-Time | Free On-Site Parking

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Branch Assistant to join our friendly team in Staines on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

This is a varied and hands-on role that combines customer service, hire administration, warehouse support, and basic office duties. No two days are the same, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while building valuable experience within branch operations and the hire industry.

As a Branch Assistant, you will be one of the first points of contact for customers, helping to ensure the smooth running of the branch while delivering outstanding service at every opportunity.

• Welcome and assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email
• Process sales and hire transactions accurately using branch systems and tills
• Manage hire bookings, off-hires, returns, and associated administration
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders
• Receive deliveries, check goods in, and assist with stock control
• Replenish stock and maintain a clean, safe, and organised branch environment
• Provide product and hire advice to customers
• Complete administrative duties including data entry, order processing, and system updates
• Support the wider team in achieving branch operational and sales targets

• Previous experience within customer service, retail, trade counter, warehouse, hire, or branch operations
• Experience within the hire industry would be advantageous but is not essential
• Knowledge of building, plumbing, or construction products is beneficial
• Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks across the branch
